PRESENTATION BY BLKOPS FOUNDATION HONORS VETERANS – The BLKOPS Foundation brought its Road Show to Westside High on October 10, offering an unforgettable experience in Mr. Daniel Tobias Flint’s U.S. History class. Through its program, “Honoring Service: The History and Significance of Veterans Day,” students connected directly with the legacy of America’s veterans. They heard from veterans featured in the Amazon Prime series BLK OPS: The Veterans History Project, who spoke about service, resilience, goal-setting, and living up to one’s full potential—powerful lessons from those who have given so much.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS GAME IS A SLAM DUNK – It was a big win for students participating in a Special Olympics basketball game at Westside High School! The game, which gave students with autism a chance to show off their skills on the court, was a big hit. Teacher Mary Maraghy shares, “The Special Olympics basketball game...with 20 students with autism in our gym was an incredible sporting event. The teams were so competitive and hyped. General education student volunteers did a great job assisting. I was proud of the whole production.” Great job!
