We are proud of our Wolverine Parents!!
Welcome
Welcome Wolverine parents to the Westside High School community. Our mission is to change the narrative through CARE. We love our parents because we know that they are fully committed being involved in their children' education. Below are some way that you can help us in supporting your children's success at our school.
School policies
We aim to provide top-of-line instruction and we are happy to do so by maintaining school policies, including attendance requirements, dress code, and behavior expectations. We can only emphasize the importance of encouraging your children to follow these rules to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
Academic resources
We want to highlight that Westside High School is committed to providing academic resources to students, such as tutoring services, study groups, and access to teachers' school contact information. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child's education by setting high expectations and providing support at home to ensure that students arrive physically and mentally prepared for academic rigor.
Communication
Please feel empowered to communicate with your children and teachers about regular updates on student progress, opportunities for parent-teacher conferences, and a shared understanding of classroom expectations and policies. Westside High School hopes to foster a positive and collaborative relationship between parents and educators to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. Feel free to schedule campus visits to check out the latest information and events happening at Wolverine Nation. We are happy to expose you to our teaching facilities and our parent resource room. We would also encourage parents to join our School Advisory Council and Parent Teacher Association to have a voice in our school’s goals and objectives.
Safety and Well-being
Help us shepherd our students with the prioritization of school safety and the well-being of all students by discussion effective bullying prevention. Moreover, we are committed to providing access to mental health resources, ensuring a clean and safe physical environment, and promoting positive relationships among peers and adults. Open communication and mutual respect are encouraged to create a supportive and inclusive learning community where every student shows value and feels valued.
