From October 1st through November 16th, we are collecting the following non-perishable food donations:
- Cranberry sauce - Mashed potatoes
- Canned gravy - Mac and cheese
- Corn bread mix - Canned greens or green beans
- Boxed cake mix & icing - White rice
- Canned corn - Canned yams
- Stuffing

Our kindergarteners turned learning into a feast of fun today by using spaghetti to build sentences! 🍝
Hands-on learning is powerful at this stage, bending and placing tactile "pasta" lines helps young learners visually grasp sentence structure, improve spatial awareness, and strengthen the fine motor muscles needed for pencil grip. By breaking down writing into an interactive, multi-sensory activity, our students build confidence, boost letter formation skills, and develop a genuine love for literacy!

When the Wi-Fi dropped last week, the science didn’t stop—it just went analog.
Out came the "old-fashioned" work bins, aka my ultimate bag of tricks. No screens, no loading wheels, just hands-on problem solving, real curiosity, and notebooks filled with big ideas. Watching these 5th graders pivot without missing a beat made my teacher heart burst.
Turns out, genuine curiosity doesn't need an internet connection. So proud of my resilient little scientists! 🧪✨

Today we celebrate our Beautiful, Fearless, Amazing, Brilliant, Magnificent School Leader's Birthday! Her birthday is tomorrow, September 5th, but we are celebrating her today! She deserves all of the accolades and a whole lot more! We love her and greatly appreciate her leadership at the FORT. She leads with grace, dignity and integrity. She loves on her students and staff each day! We look forward to her smile and her energetic & fun afternoon announcements each day! She is the epitome of a phenomenal school leader and we wish her the Happiest Birthday of all 🎂

Hello Fort Caroline Elementary families, this is Principal Roberts-Graham with an important message.
All students and staff are safe. However, the school was briefly evacuated this morning after smoke was detected in the kitchen area. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded immediately and conducted a thorough inspection. Following their assessment, they gave the all-clear for students and staff to safely return to the building, and we have resumed our normal schedule.
District maintenance teams will remain on site to continue their inspection and determine the cause of the issue.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we work through this unexpected situation.
