Durante la orientación, las familias tendrán la oportunidad de:

Conocer al maestro(a) de su hijo(a).

Unirse a nuestra PTA (Asociación de Padres y Maestros) y aprender cómo participar.
Registrarse para obtener una cuenta de FOCUS para padres.

Configurar la aplicación de comunicación de DCPS para mantenerse en contacto con el maestro(a) y la escuela.
Conocer información importante sobre los procedimientos y recursos escolares.

Greetings Ortega Elementary families and staff,

I want to make sure you are aware of a specially scheduled School Advisory Council meeting taking place at our school on Wednesday, June 24.

The district recently sent a notification about this meeting, but I wanted to follow up personally and encourage you to attend. This will be an opportunity for the Ortega Elementary school community to hear directly from district leaders regarding the future of our school.

Following a presentation from district leaders, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session.

Scoop and Swirl will be on campus again this Friday. For $5 your child can enjoy a yummy treat. See the flyer for all the details.

We have a limited number of extra yearbooks. If you would like one, please send in $25 (cash, exact change). They may be purchased from Mrs. Tibbits.

The final PTA meeting of the year will be Monday at 1 PM. We'd love for you to join us!

Scoop and Swirl Italian Ice will be at Ortega Elementary this Friday, May 15, during Play Day. Students may bring in $5 to get a yummy treat. See the flyer for more details.
Also, we still need donations of water for Play Day. The 8 oz bottles are preferred but we will accept any size.

We need donations of cases of the 8 oz water bottles. If you can help we would greatly appreciate it. Play Day will be held on Friday, May 15 so please drop off donations in car line or in the front office by Friday morning. Thank you!
