Don't forget that this Thursday is a special night at Ortega Elementary. It is our Exhibit Night, where students get to showcase their curriculum-inspired artwork. Student docents will be available to explain the pieces and answer questions. In addition, we will have a special family holiday sing-a-long. Dress in festive clothing and come out for this fun and educational evening. The event will run from 6 PM until 7 PM.

🎁 Our Holiday Shoppe will be open December 17–19, Wednesday–Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM! 🎁
Have fun helping them make a little shopping list—who they want to surprise with a gift and how much they plan to spend. It’s a perfect chance to practice real-life math, budgeting, and planning!
At checkout, students can pay with cash, an e-gift card, or a combination of both.
For the easiest (and safest!) experience, consider purchasing an e-gift card so your child doesn’t have to carry cash.
🎄 Shop items range from under $1 to $20.
🎁 Buy your e-gift card here:

We're excited to share that testing season is almost here, 12/1 through 12/12. Over those two weeks our students will be taking their FAST PM2 assessments to show how much they have learned since the beginning of the year. This is not just about a test- it's a moment for students to demonstrate their growth, and for us to celebrate their hard work.
To make this time extra special, students who put in their best effort will be invited to a celebration at the end of testing. It's our way to honor their perseverance and hard work. The attached flyer gives the details of how they will be celebrated.
How can you help:
Encourage a calm, restful bedtime and a healthy breakfast on test days.
Talk to them about doing their best, not just getting the "right' answer.
Thank you for partnering with us as we help our students shine. If you have any questions about the test format, scheduled testing days, or how to support your child, please reach out to your child's teacher. Let's make this Mission a success together!
