Hello Spring Park Elementary Extended Day and Team Up families, This is Principal Parker calling. All students and staff are safe, but our school is currently on a lockdown as a precaution due to police activity in our neighborhood. Again, students and staff are safe, but we have been advised to go on a lockdown due to police activity in the area. For the safety we are doing a controlled dismissal for our afterschool students. 📸🤩🥳Today was the BEST DAY EVER at Spring Park! Our faculty & staff surprised the students with a day of exciting, engaging and educational activities all throughout the day! Our day began with a race where students cheered on their favorite inflatables characters, the students then had an opportunity to enjoy sweet treats from Kona Ice & each classroom teacher prepared special learning games and activities for their students to participate in all throughout the school day. It truly was the BEST DAY EVER and the students had an amazing time!! To find out when our next surprise BEST DAY EVER will be students need to attend school each and every day to ensure they don't miss out! A special THANK YOU to Ms. Affatato, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Hammett, Ms. Balow, Ms. A. Taylor & Mrs. Hewett for capturing these special moments so we can share them with you - our Spring Park parents & families!

We have 3 special events happening at Spring Park tomorrow/Wednesday, March 26th: ❤️💙🖤💚House Meetings Day: Students may wear their house/team shirt, or their house/team color, instead of their school uniforms. If you would like to purchase a special house shirt for your child (as pictured in this post) please visit the main office and they will be able to assist you! 💵🍧 Kona Ice Day: Kona Ice will be visiting Spring Park for a sweet treat frozen fundraiser! Kona Ice Prices: $3 (small snowcone), $6 (large snowcone, in a reusable/souvenir cup), $4 (refill snowcone, for those with their reusable souvenir cups) ⏰🏫 Early Release Day : Dismissal begins promptly at 12:50pm on Early Release Days. Only those students enrolled in after-school programs (Extended Day or Team Up) are permitted to stay at school after 1:00pm on Early Release Days. ☀️🌳 Spring Break is Monday, March 17th-March 21st. Monday, March 24th is a Planning Day for teachers and employees. School resumes for students on Tuesday, March 25th. We hope everyone has a safe, happy and healthy Spring Break!

Good Evening Spring Park Family, You're Invited! 🎶🎤🎈 Join us for our Annual Music in the Park Family Fun Night TOMORROW from 5:45 PM - 7:00 PM! This special event supports our 5th graders’ project to fight childhood hunger by raising money to create food bags for the community. Bring your lawn chairs & blankets and enjoy a fun-filled evening with: 🎵 Live Music & Karaoke 🎯 Games for All Ages 🪁 Kite Flying (Kites available for $2.00) 🌭 Free Hot Dogs! We will also have water, soda, chips, and yearbooks for sale to help with fundraising. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated! 🎼 Join Us For Our Annual "Music In The Park" Event! 📍 Spring Park Elementary (Park Area/Front of School) 📅 Thursday, March 13th ⏰ Starting At 5:45pm 🎼 Our amazing 5th graders are taking action to fight childhood hunger in our community! As a part of their 5th grade IB Exhibition Project they are partnering with One More Child and Aspire Church to raise $5,000 - enough to provide food for over 800 students during the summer months. Every dollar counts in making sure no child goes hungry. Join us in supporting their mission and making a lasting impact. Good Evening, Spring Park Parents, Tomorrow, we are having a sweet frozen treat fundraiser. The Kona Ice Truck will be on campus, ready to deliver the sweet icy treat of your child’s choice. A frozen treat costs $3.00 for a small and $6.00 for a large. Please feel free to join us, or if you would like your child to receive a frozen treat, you can send the money in an envelope for your child to give to their teacher. ❤️ Friday, February 14th, is Kids Heart Challenge/Jump Rope For Heart Day at SPE! During their assigned resource times, students will be representing their house/team, and the judges will determine which house has the best jumpers. In addition to jumping rope, students will be asked questions about the '7 Healthy Heart Habits" that they have been learning about with Ms. Bell during PE class. Students are asked to wear their house shirts/house colors to show off their team spirit on Friday. Parents are welcome to come cheer on their favorite jumpers if they wish. 💌📅🩷 Valetine's Day Candy Grams are being sold now - Thursday (Feb 13th) for a cost of $1 each. There will be a sales booth set up in the cafeteria each morning , before school, from 8:00am-8:30am, where students can make their purchases. Valentine's Candy Grams will be delivered to classrooms on Friday, February 14th! All students, PreK-5th Grades, are invited to participate in this fun and festive fundraiser. All fundraiser proceeds will go directly to 5th Grade's end-of-the-year IB Exhibition Project where they will be packaging food items for those in need. In celebration of this Sunday's BIG GAME all of our students, faculty & staff were encouraged to wear jerseys, shirts and/or team colors to school today to show off which team they would like to see win the Super Bowl this Sunday!
