Good Evening, Spring Park Parents,
Please remember that students can only arrive at school after 8:00 a.m. unless enrolled in Extended Day for morning care. We do not have enough staff to provide proper supervision prior to 8:00 a.m. If you arrive at our campus before 8:00 a.m., you must remain with your student until the gates and doors are officially opened to receive students. This is a serious safety concern, and I thank you in advance for helping us with this matter.
Parents, if your child is a walker but you drive up onto the school parking lot to pick them up, please park your vehicles in the last row of the lot close to the community park. This will eliminate the danger of having students and parents walk in the path of oncoming traffic.
Tomorrow marks our first Early Release Day, and we are grateful for your understanding and cooperation. Dismissal will begin promptly at 12:50 p.m. If your student participates in Team Up or Extended Day, they will be sent to these programs at 12:50 p.m. If your child is a walker or car rider, please plan to receive them at 12:50 p.m.
Lastly, Duval County Public Schools will cease normal operations for students at the conclusion of the early release school day on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The schools will be closed Sept. 26-27.
Extended-day programs will remain open for regular hours on Wednesday; however, parents and guardians are encouraged to pick up their children early. All afterschool activities and athletics scheduled for Wednesday afternoon through Friday, Sept. 27, are canceled.
Thank you for your attention to these important announcements. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the front office. Enjoy your evening.

Good Morning Spring Park Parents,
Thank you for allowing your students to persevere through the wet Wednesday and come to school this morning. We want to provide additional guidance for our rainy days and upcoming activities.
Our staff arrives at 7:50 a.m. for work, and we open the building at 8 a.m., rain or shine. This is when we have enough staff to supervise our students. If your child arrives early, we kindly ask that you stay with them until the building officially opens at 8 a.m. for their safety. On rainy days, we change the entry route to the library and front entrances to keep students dry, demonstrating our commitment to their well-being.
If you've completed the volunteer application form, we invite you to our first school-wide event, the House Meetings, on Thursday, September 5th. This is a fun and educational opportunity for students to interact with peers and teachers from other grades, engage in team-building activities, and participate in IB challenges. The meetings start at 1:30 p.m. and end around 2:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.

Good Morning Spring Park Parents,
As we strive to ensure the safety of all students and smooth operation during arrival and dismissal times, we kindly request your assistance with some important matters in our school parking lot. Your cooperation will help us create a safer environment for everyone.
Here are a few key points to keep in mind:
1. Supervision of Students: Please ensure that your child is supervised at all times while in the parking lot. It's important to keep an eye on them to prevent accidents and ensure they are following safety rules.
2. Avoiding Traffic: Students should not walk into the path of moving vehicles. We ask that you help reinforce this by guiding your child to stay on sidewalks and avoid crossing in front of or behind cars.
3. Using Crosswalks: Always use designated crosswalks when crossing the parking lot. This helps in maintaining an organized flow of traffic and enhances safety for everyone.
4. Adhering to Speed Limits: Please drive at a safe and slow speed within the parking lot. Reducing speed helps to ensure that drivers have ample time to react to any unexpected situations and that everyone remains safe.
We appreciate your support in these efforts. Together, we can create a safer and more efficient environment for our students during these busy times.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Warm regards,
Davina S. Parker
Principal
